Assistant Referee Required – Full Training Provided


Each Devon Football League(DFL) club will be expected to provide at least one dedicated Club Assistant Referee, responsibilities will be to assist the appointed Match Day official at both home and away fixtures unless match officials have been appointed by the League.

We would like to stress the importance of the role within the DFL and that the individuals should be valued by all players and management.

DFL will be paying for training.

At present the following two dates are available, and training is to be held in the DCFA Chamber Room

DCFA Coach Road Newton Abbot to commence at 6.30pm.

Thursday 11th July

Thursday 8th August

Training will be conducted by Jason Haywood DCFC RDO. Basic outline below of the evening will consist of but not limited to: –

Training to incorporate Law 6 and Law 11 to include but not limited to the following 

Correct Signals of below:

Ball in and out of play, throw in, corners, foul throws
Penalty and Free Kicks if requested by referees? 
Expectations will be different across the referees.

DFL branded waterproof jackets and T Shirts for each attendee will be provided in the near future.
